How do I set icon for my Minecraft server?

In this tutorial, you will learn how to set a server icon on your Minecraft server. The icon appears next to your server name in the Minecraft multiplayer server list and helps players identify your server easily.

Requirements

  • Image dimensions: exactly 64x64 pixels
  • File format: PNG
  • Filename: must be named server-icon.png
  • Transparency: partial image transparency is supported

Preparing Your Icon (If Needed)

If your image is not exactly 64x64 pixels, you can resize it using Paint (Windows) or any image editor on your device.

Resizing with Paint

  1. Open your server icon image in Paint.
  2. Click the Home tab at the top.
  3. Select Resize.
  4. Choose the Pixels option.
  5. Enter 64 for both the Horizontal and Vertical fields.
  6. If the pixel sizes do not match perfectly, you can uncheck Maintain aspect ratio to force the exact dimensions.
    Note: If the aspect ratio isn't maintained, your image may appear stretched. Consider cropping the image borders until you achieve the desired result.
  7. Go to File > Save as > PNG picture.
  8. Change the filename to server-icon and click Save.

Uploading the Icon to Your Server

  1. Log in to the Game Panel at https://panel.nolimithost.cc/ and select your Minecraft server.
  2. Stop the server from the Home tab first, so it doesn't interfere while you upload the file.
  3. Go to Management > File Manager — this is where you can view and edit all of your server's files.
  4. Upload your server-icon.png file to the root of the server directory (the main folder, shown at the top level of the file manager).
  5. Start the server so the new icon is loaded.

Verification

After restarting your server, open Minecraft and navigate to the Multiplayer section. Your server icon should now appear next to your server name in the server list.

Tip: If the icon doesn't appear immediately, try refreshing the server list or restarting your Minecraft client.
