Manage Bedrock operators

Grant or remove operator access on a native Minecraft Bedrock Edition server.

Grant operator access to let a player run administrative commands on a native Minecraft Bedrock Edition server. An operator (also called an op) is a player with admin powers.

Before you begin

• Log in to the NolimitHost Game Panel at https://panel.nolimithost.cc/ and select your Minecraft Bedrock server. Start the server and wait until it finishes loading.
• Ask the player to join. The op command — the command that grants operator access — does not work for an offline player.
• Use the player's exact Xbox Gamertag — the player's Xbox username — including spaces and capitalization.
• Put a Gamertag in quotation marks when it contains spaces, such as "Example Player".
• Confirm that this is a native Bedrock server. For Bedrock players joining through Geyser, use the Java server's permission system.

Grant operator access

1. Open the console — Log in to the NolimitHost Game Panel at https://panel.nolimithost.cc/ and select your Minecraft Bedrock server, then open its Console view.
2. Confirm that the player is online — Wait until the player's exact Xbox Gamertag appears in the console.
3. Grant operator access — Enter op followed by the player's exact Xbox Gamertag. Do not add a leading / in the console.

   op "Example Player"

4. Confirm access — Ask the player to reconnect if the permission does not take effect immediately.

Remove operator access

In the game panel console (without a leading /), run deop followed by the player's exact Xbox Gamertag:

deop "Example Player"

Fix common problems

The console says the player cannot be found

Confirm that the player is connected, then re-enter the exact Xbox Gamertag. Put the full Gamertag in quotation marks if it contains spaces.

The command is unknown

Confirm that the server is running native Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Enter commands without / in the game panel console and with / in Minecraft chat.

The player joins through Geyser

Geyser provides Bedrock-to-Java cross-play. Manage the player with the Java server's operator or plugin permission system instead.
