Configure Java spawn protection

This guide shows you how to change or disable the protected spawn area on a NolimitHost Minecraft Java Edition server.

Use spawn-protection in server.properties to control the built-in protected area around the world spawn. Operators (players with admin powers) can normally build inside this area. server.properties is the main server configuration file.

Stop the server — Wait for a clean shutdown, so the running server does not overwrite your changes.
Edit the property — Log in to the NolimitHost Game Panel at https://panel.nolimithost.cc/ and select your Minecraft Java server. In the left sidebar, click File Manager and open server.properties, then enter a non-negative whole number. Use 0 to disable built-in spawn protection.

Restart and test — Save the file, start the server, and test block placement near world spawn with a non-operator account.

Note: Protection plugins may enforce a separate spawn region. Changing spawn-protection does not change regions managed by a plugin.
