Set game rules on a Bedrock server

Last updated: July 23, 2026

Change Minecraft Bedrock Edition game rules through the NolimitHost console or in-game chat.

Use the gamerule command to change how the active Bedrock world behaves. A game rule is a setting that controls world behavior, such as whether players keep their items after death. Game rule names are case-sensitive.

Before you begin

  • Log in to the NolimitHost Game Panel at https://panel.nolimithost.cc/ and select your Minecraft Bedrock server. Start the server and wait until the world finishes loading.
  • Enable cheats before changing game rules in Minecraft chat.
  • Join as an operator (a player with admin powers) when using the in-game method.
  • Create a backup before changing rules that could affect builds or player data.
