This guide shows you how to erase a NolimitHost Minecraft Java Edition server installation and start again from the game panel.
Log in to the NolimitHost Game Panel at https://panel.nolimithost.cc/ and select your Minecraft Java server. Go to Advanced > Server Actions and check the FORMAT checkbox to erase the current Java installation and start with fresh server files.
Warning: Formatting removes worlds, player data, plugins, mods, configurations, logs, and other files stored on the server. Download anything you want to keep before continuing.
Before you format
- Confirm that you selected the correct NolimitHost server.
- Stop the server and download required worlds, configurations, plugin data, or modpack files.
- Export databases separately when you need their saved data.
- Create a server backup and keep an external copy of irreplaceable files.
- Record the Java server software, Minecraft version, mod loader, and any extra port allocations you need to recreate.
Reset the server
- Stop the server — Use a normal stop and wait until the console confirms that the process ended.
- Open Server Actions — In the Game Panel, go to Advanced > Server Actions.
- Check FORMAT — Find the FORMAT checkbox and check it. This will wipe all server data on the next install.
- Confirm — Review what will be erased and confirm only if you no longer need the files currently stored on the server.
- Reinstall and verify — Choose the required Java software and version, then start the fresh server. Watch the console until startup completes.
Note: If you only want a fresh world, use
Reset a Java world. A world reset keeps plugins, mods, and most server configuration.
