How to Change Your The Isle Evrima Server Name

This guide shows you how to change your The Isle Evrima server name — the name players search for in the in-game server browser. Choosing a unique, memorable name makes it easier for your community to find and connect. Follow the steps below to update it at any time.

Changing Your Server Name

  1. Log in to the NolimitHost Game Panel at https://panel.nolimithost.cc/ and select your server.
  2. Stop your server first — this ensures the new name is applied cleanly on the next start instead of being overwritten.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Startup.
  4. Find the Server Name field and enter your desired name.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Go back to the Console tab and restart your server to apply the new name.
Note: After the restart it may take a few minutes for Epic Online Services (EOS) — the service that powers Evrima's server list — to update the server browser listing with the new name. If you search for the old name in-game it will no longer appear.
Tip: Use a name that is unique enough to stand out in the server browser. Avoid names that are too generic (e.g. "The Isle Server") as these are hard to find among hundreds of results.

Changing Your Server Name via Game.ini (Dedicated Servers)

If you're self-hosting (or prefer editing files directly), the server name can also be changed in Game.ini — the main configuration file for your server:

  1. Stop your server first so the change isn't overwritten.
  2. Open the File Manager in the Game Panel, or your server files via FTP/SFTP.
  3. Navigate to TheIsle/Saved/Config/ and open the LinuxServer or WindowsServer folder, depending on your platform.
  4. Open Game.ini and change the ServerName option to your desired name.
  5. Save the file and restart the server.

Finding Your Server After a Name Change

Once the server has restarted and registered with EOS:

  1. Launch The Isle (Evrima) and click Play.
  2. Set the Session Filter to Unofficial.
  3. Type your new server name in the Filter By Name field.
  4. Click Refresh and select your server.

Naming Tips

  • Include your region — [US East], [EU], [AU] helps players find low-ping servers.
  • Mention your playstyle — Realism, Casual, Modded, PvE.
  • Note your growth rate — 2x Growth, Vanilla Growth.
  • Add your community name — for brand recognition.
