How to Connect to a The Isle Evrima Server

This guide shows you how to find and connect to your The Isle Evrima dedicated server (the server you rent from NolimitHost) using the in-game server browser. Because Evrima uses Epic Online Services (EOS) — the service that powers its server list — for its lobby system, there is no direct IP connect option; you must locate your server by name in the browser.

Step 1: Enable the Evrima Branch on Steam

Evrima is a separate branch (version) of The Isle. If you have not already opted in, complete these steps before trying to connect to any Evrima server.

1. Open Steam and navigate to your Library.
2. Right-click The Isle and select Properties.
3. Click the Betas tab (sometimes labelled Game Versions & Betas).
4. In the beta selection dropdown, choose evrima.
5. Close the window and wait for Steam to download the Evrima update.

Step 2: Set a Unique Server Name

Before connecting, confirm your server has a recognisable, unique name so it is easy to search for in the browser.

1. Log in to the NolimitHost Game Panel at https://panel.nolimithost.cc/ and select your server.
2. Stop your server first, so the new name is applied cleanly on the next start.
3. In the left sidebar, click Startup.
4. Set a distinct Server Name.
5. Go back to the Console tab and restart your server to apply the name change.

Step 3: Find and Join Your Server

1. Launch The Isle (Evrima).
2. Click Play on the main menu.
3. Open the Session Filter dropdown and select Unofficial.
4. In the Filter By Name field, type your exact server name.
5. Click Refresh (bottom-right) to reload the list.
6. Select your server from the results and click Connect.

Joining the Same Server as a Friend (Steam Friends List)

You can also join a server your friend is already playing on:

1. Open Steam or the Steam Overlay and go to your friends list.
2. Under Friends In-Game, find the friend you want to join.
3. Right-click them (or use the dropdown arrow) and click Join Game.

Alternatively, set the in-game Session Filter to Friends — it will display any servers your friends are currently in.

Direct Connecting to a Server

To connect directly with an IP address (useful on Legacy or when the browser filter won't show the server):

1. Open your Steam Library.
2. Right-click The Isle and select Properties.
3. Find Launch Options and type +connect followed by the server IP and port, for example:

   +connect 12.12.123.123:12345

4. Close the properties window (it saves automatically) and launch the game — you should connect to the server immediately.
