How to Add Mods to a Palworld Server

Install mods on your Palworld server to create a unique experience. Mods can add quality-of-life improvements, new gameplay mechanics, or completely different ways to play. This guide walks you through installing mods from Nexus Mods, CurseForge, and the Steam Workshop.

Where to Find Palworld Mods

Install Mods (Nexus / CurseForge)

Tip: It's best to stop your server before uploading mod files so the game doesn't scan or overwrite files while you work. You'll restart the server afterwards to load the new mods.
  1. Download the mod ZIP file and extract it (on Windows, right-click the ZIP and choose Extract All).
  2. Log into the NolimitHost Game Panel and select your Palworld server.
  3. In the left sidebar, click File Manager and navigate to Pal/Content/Paks.
  4. Drop the ~mods or LogicMods folders into the directory. These are mod folders — if the mod doesn't include one, create it yourself and place the mod files inside. If the mod includes PAK files directly, upload them to the Paks folder instead.
  5. Check the mod description for dependencies — some mods require other mods.
  6. Restart your server to load the new mods.

Install Steam Workshop Mods

  1. Open Steam and find Palworld in your Library.
  2. Select Workshop and subscribe to the mods you want.
  3. Find your workshop files on your own computer at Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/1623730 (1623730 is Palworld's app ID).
  4. Copy all numbered folders (these are your mods).
  5. In the NolimitHost Game Panel, open File Manager, then upload them to your server's Mods/Workshop directory (create it if it doesn't exist).
  6. Restart your server.

Player Requirements

Steam Workshop mods: Players just need to be subscribed to the same mods.

Nexus/CurseForge mods: Players must install the same PAK files to their own Pal/Content/Paks folder (right-click Palworld in Steam → Browse Local Files).
