This guide shows you how to install mods on your Vintage Story server. Mods are add-ons that let you enhance gameplay and customise your server. There are two ways to install them - via a console command, or manually through the File Manager.
Head to the Vintage Story Mod Database at mods.vintagestory.at. This is the official repository for all available Vintage Story mods.
After finding the mod you want, note its exact mod name or ID. Then run this command in-game (press T or / to open chat) or through the server console (log in to the NolimitHost Game Panel at https://panel.nolimithost.cc/, select your server, and go to the Console tab):
/moddb install [modname]Replace [modname] with the mod's identifier. For example, to install the Floating Fish mod:
/moddb install floatingfishIf the server doesn't recognise the name, try specifying a version using the @version format - you can find available versions under the Files tab on the mod's page:
/moddb install [email protected]Once installed, restart your server from the Game Panel so the new mod is loaded.
This method is useful if you're uploading multiple mods at once or if the /moddb command doesn't recognise the mod.
