How to Change the Server Name on Your SCUM Server

The name players see in the SCUM server browser comes from the scum.ServerName setting in ServerSettings.ini.

Step 1: Stop the Server

In the NolimitHost Game Panel, select your SCUM server and stop it from the Console page. The setting is only read at startup.

In the left sidebar, click Files and open SCUM/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ServerSettings.ini.
Find the [General] section and set the name:

scum.ServerName=My SCUM Server
```
Save the file and start the server again.

Important: The setting must stay under the [General] header. A line with no section above it is ignored by the server.

You can change these in the same section for a more complete listing:

Setting	Purpose
`scum.ServerName`	Server name in the browser.
`scum.ServerDescription`	Short description shown under the name.
`scum.WelcomeMessage`	Message players see when they join.
