How to Connect to Your Euro Truck Simulator 2 Server

Last updated: September 18, 2026

Multiplayer in Euro Truck Simulator 2 runs through Convoys. This guide shows the two ways to join your dedicated server: searching by Session Search ID, or picking it from the Convoy lobby list.

Note: The multiplayer options only appear once your profile has completed at least one job. Finish a quick job first if you do not see Convoys in the main menu.

Method 1: Session Search ID (Recommended)

  1. Start your server and open the Console page in the NolimitHost Game Panel.
  2. Find the line that reports the Session Search ID and copy the number, leaving off any /101 suffix. For example, from 85266395932841714/101 copy 85266395932841714.
  3. In the game, open Convoys > Convoy Lobby, paste the ID into the search, and join.

This method works even if your network uses NAT and the server does not appear in the public list.

Method 2: The Convoy Lobby List

  1. In the game, open Convoys > Convoy Lobby.
  2. Search for your server by its name (the lobby_name value).
  3. Select your server and join. If a password is set, enter it when prompted.

Listing publicly works best with a valid GSLT, which keeps your Session Search ID stable between restarts.

Ports

The dedicated server uses these ports. They must be reachable on both TCP and UDP:

Setting Default Purpose
connection_dedicated_port27015Main connection port.
query_dedicated_port27016Server query port.
connection_virtual_port / query_virtual_port100 / 101Internal Steam relay ports. Not forwarded.
